Crufts 2007 Competition Winner
01/05/2007
Wagg ran a competition at Crufts 2007, giving away an Apple iPod as the prize.
The Lucky winner was John Hankinson and his police dog Duke.
John was a traffic policeman for 19 years. He finished training Duke, with Warwickshire Police at the end of May 2006, so they have been on the streets
for one year now. Warwickshire Police have 12 dog handlers in total. John covers north of the county but goes any where needed. Duke is a two and a half year old German Shepherd. He was a donated dog, as Warwickshire Police do not have a puppy breeding programme. He is brilliant at scent work, which comes in invaluable for locating hideaway criminals in buildings and enclosed spaces.
The prize was presented by our Southern Area Business Development Manager - Linda Mitchell.
